Azra (Amrit Kaur) is worlds apart from her conservative muslim mother. When her father suddenly dies on a trip home to Karachi, Azra finds herself on a Bollywood-inspired journey through memories, both real and imagined; from her mother's rebellious youth in Karachi to her own coming-of-age in Canada. While paying homage to "Meri Sapno Ki Rani", the movie's heart lies in the writer/director's personal look at her family dynamics. An insightful, comedic and dramatic examinations about the complicated (and often ubiquitous) bonds between mothers and daughters.
