Charlie Barnett was an American actor who saw success early on in his career with a starring role in the popular firefighting drama "Chicago Fire" (NBC 2012-). Barnett lived on a sailboat in Florida until age seven. He was passionate about theater from a very young age, attending the Carnegie Mellon Musical Theater Summer Program and winning acting awards in his native Florida. As a teen, he landed his first film role in the family-friendly movie "Circus Camp" (2006). He went on to attend Juilliard, graduating from their drama program in 2010. Quickly, he landed roles on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC 1999-) in 2010 and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (NBC 2001-07) in 2011. He starred in the critically acclaimed LGBTQ film "Private Romeo," for which he won an award for outstanding actor in the L.A. Outfest. Next up was a bit part in "Men In Black 3" (2012), appearing alongside franchise stars Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. He landed his best known role as rookie firefighter Peter Mills in "Chicago Fire" in 2012. His character also appeared in the show's spinoff "Chicago P.D." (NBC 2014-).
