John Furey

Best known for acting as fodder for a deranged killer in "Friday the 13th Part 2," John Furey has also appeared in numerous television series since the 1970s, crossing easily between sitcoms, action series and soap operas. His most notable early guest part was on the long-running family drama "The Waltons" as doomed soldier Stewart, whose memory haunts his co-pilot John-Boy Walton. In 1981, he was cast as head camp counselor Paul Holt in "Friday the 13th Part 2," which like the original revolved around fun-loving teenagers who fall prey to unstoppable murderer Jason Voorhees. Film roles since then have been scarce but television work has been regular, most notably in several juicy soap opera parts. In 1998, he made a memorable villain on the long-running daytime drama "All My Children" as grieving husband Lee Hawkins, whose uncontrollable anger with businessman Adam Chandler led him to a literally explosive revenge. More recently, Furey guested on the gay drama "Queer As Folk" as Craig Taylor, the estranged father of main protagonist Justin, and as a prostitute's client on the soap opera "Days of Our Lives." His rare post-"Friday" film appearances have been limited to low-rent action films like the 1998 direct-to-video Michael Dudikoff vehicle "Black Thunder."
