It's Luke & Manny's first school dance and everyone gets in on the "fun" -- Jay and Phil have to take the boys on a mall run which becomes quite stressful; and Claire revels in the school dance committee duties, but gets a little jealous when Gloria shows up to help. Meanwhile, Mitch and Cam are horrified to learn that Lily is biting other kids on the playground.

While Susan continues to undergo dialysis, she is stunned when her flighty mother, Sophie, along with her Aunt Claire, pays a visit but won't agree to get tested to see if she would be a potential kidney candidate.

Bob and Lee's wedding ceremony finally takes place, but there are problems with the catering. Meanwhile, Gabrielle finds a large sum of money hidden in Ellie's teddy bear after her fugitive tenant asks for her possessions back, and when Julie gets a university place, Susan has to come to terms with her daughter soon flying the nest. Elsewhere, Katherine's long-held secret is revealed.

Susan and Mike fall out about what name to give their newborn son, Lynette is arrested for child abuse when Kayla makes false allegations of ill-treatment, and Bree resorts to flirting with Rev Green in an attempt to make obsessed Orson give up and leave her alone, but her plan backfires. Surprisingly, Gabrielle develops a bond with Ellie, and Wayne begins to suspect that Dylan is not his child.

Bonnie is upset when Adam makes a big-ticket purchase without consulting her; Jill has an unexpected reaction when her dentist retires.
