Zhao Yu Xing gets into the palace and finds Qiu Qi, who's overwhelmed at their reunion. Zhao Yu Xing formulates a plan that will let Qiu Qi escape the palace with her.

Zhao Yu Xing, Qiu Qi and the Wen Head Servant are sabotaged by Consort Shu, who they poisoned. Yue Zong Lin rides back to the palace after hearing about the development with new orders from the Emperor.

Zhao Yu Xing uncovers the connection between Yue Zong Lin and Consort Shu. Qiu Qi is accused of killing another consort, and Yue Zong Lin investigates.

A consort testifying in Qiu Qi's murder trial is killed by a needle to the neck before she can reveal who the real murderer is.
