Impressed by Shizuma's contributions while helping the police with a case, Chief Superintendent Kawaji insists that he joins the force; Shizuma soon finds himself working alongside Osanai as a police officer on patrol.

Osanai and Shizuma learn of a club that hunts people for sport.

Kyoushirou is tasked with spearheading the Japan Gekkenkai fencing tournament; Shizuma is assigned to participate in the tournament to investigate a seemingly random attack.

A last-minute announcement sees the event contested with real swords instead of wooden ones.

After fighting Koto, Shizuma decides she can't have been the attacker he is looking for.
