Poco's Udon World

Tokyo-based web designer Tawara Souta returns to his hometown in the country after his father passes away; on a visit to his father's defunct noodle restaurant, Souta discovers an unusual orphan living inside.

Souta cares for the starving tanuki he found in the restaurant and must pass it off as a human child when heading into town to buy some clothes.

Souta is sleeping with a tossing and turning Poco when his longtime friend Nakajima Shinobu shows up for an impromptu fishing trip... at 3 AM. The trio cast their lines under the Red Lighthouse, but the fish just aren’t biting. With a bored Poco playing nearby, Souta and Nakajima have a heart-to-heart about their thoughts on marriage and the future. When Souta sadly reveals that he might sell his childhood home and restaurant, Nakajima presses him to take over the restaurant, but Souta won’t give him a clear answer. Will Souta go through with selling the house? And what about Poco?

Rinko, Souta's inquisitive older sister, makes a bad impression on Poco; all three take a trip to Yashima, which brings up old memories.

Souta hopes to reconnect to those in his hometown while making a video for a class reunion with Nakajima; Nakajima asks Souta to join him on a visit to his badly wounded father.

Souta must return to work and drags Poco with him back to Tokyo, which causes commotion among his coworkers; something seems wrong with Poco.
