Crystal Gayle

Crystal Gayle was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Gayle worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "Country Music Hit Parade" (NBC, 1976-77), "Evening at Pops" (PBS, 1969-2002) and "Fort Apache, the Bronx" (1981) starring Paul Newman. She also contributed to "Nightwing" (1979) starring Nick Mancuso, "The 11th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards" (ABC, 1975-76) and "The Lou Rawls Special" (ABC, 1976-77). In the eighties, Gayle devoted her time to various credits, such as "Roy Acuff -- 50 Years the King of Country Music" (NBC, 1981-82), "Crystal Gayle in Concert" (HBO, 1982-83) and "It Takes Two" (ABC, 1982-83). She also worked on "One From the Heart" (1982). Gayle's music was most recently featured in the Michael Rooker horror film "Slither" (2006). Additionally, she could be seen on a variety of television specials like "The Presidential Inaugural Gala" (1988-89), "Loretta & Crystal: Going Home" (Disney, 1988-89) and "From the Heart... The First International Very Special Arts Festival" (NBC, 1989-1990).
