An escaped prisoner on the run from the authorities kidnaps a boy and grows unexpectedly attached to him. Just out of prison, the convict stops his fellow escapee from raping the boy's single mother, and takes the child with him as he is trailed by an elite team headed by an honest Texas Ranger.
