Mimic

A dark allegory about the perils of genetic manipulation. Two scientists save New York's children from a polio-like epidemic by interfering with the DNA structure of the disease's main carrier - the cockroach. However, three years later, they find themselves haunted by the sound of screams from the subway tunnels beneath the city.
