Middle-aged salaryman Ichiro Inuyashiki lives a quiet, lonely life, shunned by both his family and coworkers. When Ichiro learns that he has stomach cancer and only months left to live, he's understandably distraught, and finds himself weeping in an abandoned field late at night. Suddenly, a bright light engulfs him, and Ichiro thinks this might be the end – but instead, he's "reborn"! A UFO crashed into the field that would have killed Ichiro, but the aliens inside decided to transfer his consciousness into a weaponized robot. While he's initially shocked, Ichiro gains newfound purpose after using his inhuman strength and power to help save a life. However, it turns out that Ichiro wasn't the only person transformed in the incident, as high school student Hiro Shishigami begins wreaking havoc with his own android abilities.
