An out-of-work actor dresses in drag for an audition, only to land the female lead in a TV soap. When he becomes the most popular character on the show, he feels compelled to carry the persona into his everyday life. While bringing him phenomenal success as an `actress', life as a woman also has its problems - especially when he falls for an actress with whom he works.
