ケイシー・サンダー

Bald, burly, and often with various degrees of facial hair, Casey Sander is a dependable character actor most at home in roles like gruff police captains or surprisingly sweet-natured sheriffs. Once an immensely talented athlete, he first pursued a career as a professional baseball player before sustaining injuries in the minor leagues. He dove headlong into acting in the early 1980s, quickly finding a groove as a frequent guest star of such celebrated prime-time television shows as the iconic "Knight Rider," the spirited "The Golden Girls," and the quirky police procedural "Jake and the Fatman." In the '90s, he garnered a lot of notice for his extended stints on two ABC sitcoms: the wildly popular "Home Improvement," in which he played a recurring construction-worker buddy of "Tool Time" host Tim Taylor, and the feisty working-class comedy "Grace Under Fire," in which he portrayed the title character's happy-go-lucky if slightly doltish neighbor. His second co-starring role, as easygoing pilot-cum-surrogate-father Capt. Jimmy Wennick on the zany suburban sitcom "Tucker," was cut short after just one season. Though the vast majority of his over 100 roles have been on television, he occasionally appears in high-profile movies such as the taut Bruce Willis suspenser "16 Blocks" (2006) and the urbanized action sequel "Predator 2," both of which featured him as a peripheral law-enforcement agent.
