Brian Delate was widely known for his acting on the big screen. Early on, Delate mostly landed roles in various films, including the action film "C.A.T. Squad: Python Wolf" (1988) with Joe Cortese, the Robert De Niro dramatic adaptation "Jacknife" (1989) and the Glenn Close dramatic comedy "Reversal of Fortune" (1990). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "The Shawshank Redemption" (1994) with Tim Robbins. He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "All My Children" (ABC, 1969-2011) and "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010). His film career continued throughout the nineties and the early 2000s in productions like "Sudden Death" (1995) with Jean-Claude van Damme, the Jim Carrey blockbuster dramedy "The Truman Show" (1998) and "Home Before Dark" (1998). He also appeared in the Aleksa Palladino drama "Lonesome" (2001). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the drama "Wendigo" (2002) with Patricia Clarkson, "Far From Heaven" (2002) and "Buffalo Soldiers" (2003). He also appeared in "Rent" (2005) with Rosario Dawson and the crime drama "The Brave One" (2007) with Jodie Foster. Most recently, Delate acted in "Bad Hurt" (2016) with Karen Allen.
