Fighter D is intent on beating the Ranger Force for real after the Sunday Showdown between the monsters and the Dragon Keepers is revealed to be a facade.

Fighter D's hostility towards the Ranger Force causes the Red Keeper to doubt the monsters; D joins the recruitment exam in disguise and reunites with Hibiki Sakurama and Yumeko Suzukiri, who approach him with an unexpected proposal.

Hibiki figures out Fighter D's real identity through his conversation with Yumeko; Fighter D agrees to infiltrate the Red Garrison to steal the Divine Artifact with Yumeko and finds himself in a tough spot.

Aran Hekiru discovers Fighter D's connection to Hibiki.

Fighter D infiltrates the White Dragon's Nest in disguise, but things do not go according to plan when he meets Sesera, Hibiki's older sister, and the other Rangers; he also discovers that someone unexpected is living in hiding.

Fighter D and Kai Shion team up to face off against Shun Tokita in the final exam.
