Is Love Sustainable?

Two years ago, Kyoka Sawada (Juri Ueno) suffered a heavy blow when her mother suddenly passed away. Unable to bear the thought of her father, Rintaro Sawada (Yutaka Matsushige), living alone, Kyoka made the life-altering decision to move into her father’s home. Since then, Kyoka and her father have struggled to move forward with their respective lives. After the death of his wife, Rintaro’s entire world felt lifeless. As a Japanese language scholar, Rintaro poured all his energy into his work, a decision that put his relationship with his daughter in a precarious position. Unwilling to turn his attention elsewhere, Rintaro and Kyoka often found themselves at odds. Burdened with the responsibility of taking care of a father who only seemed interested in arguing, Kyoka often dreams of the day she can finally start living her own life. Little does Kyoka know, that day might not be as far off as she imagines. While rummaging through his late wife’s belongings, Rintaro stumbles upon a divorce document. With his eyes now opened to his late wife’s true feelings, Rintaro believes the time is right to remarry. As he searches for the perfect wife, Rintaro pushes Kyoka toward marriage as well. But can finding a suitable life partner be as easy for Kyoka as her father makes it seem?
