Gordon Thomson

Gordon Thomson has been a television mainstay since the late '70s, when he landed a role on the Canadian serial "High Hopes." That led to work in both daytime and evening soap operas, starting with "Ryan's Hope" on ABC from 1981 to 1982, and then "Dynasty" in 1982, in which Thomson portrayed the reprehensible Adam Carrington until the series' end. Post-"Dynasty," Thomson was the third actor cast as the oft-angry, self-destructive Mason Capwell in the soap "Santa Barbara," and he also played characters in "The Young and the Restless," "Passions," "Sunset Beach," and "Days of Our Lives." Over the years, he has also collaborated numerous times with television producer Aaron Spelling, not only appearing in "Dynasty" and "Sunset Beach," but in such series as "Fantasy Island," "The Love Boat," and "The Colbys" (a spin-off of "Dynasty"). Thomson later reunited with his "Dynasty" co-stars in a pair of television specials: "After Dynasty" and "Dynasty Reunion: Catfights and Caviar." Although he has appeared in few movies from the '80s onward, Thomson's film career includes the 1978 British drama "Leopard in the Snow" and the critically-acclaimed comedy "Little Miss Sunshine."
