Steve Routman

Steve Routman is one of those actors who toils in the trenches, contributing to a flabbergasting number of movies and television shows without ever getting a big break. After receiving his B.S. in Theatre from Northwestern University, he relocated to New York to find roles on stage and screen. In 2005, he was called one of the most gifted musical character actors to take the stage in New York in years for his role in "Lingoland." For his performance as Louis Howe in "Eleanor," he was nominated for the prestigious Helen Hayes Award. He appeared as Ron in the CBS sitcom "Welcome To New York," and has had guest spots on shows as diverse as "Law & Order" and "The Good Wife." In film, he played a heckler in the remake of "The Taking Of Pelham 1,2,3" and had a role in the Sarah Jessica Parker comedy "I Don't Know How She Does It." He can also be seen as Dr. Stitch in Luc Besson's "Arthur 3: The War Of Two Worlds." Routman is also a writer with several projects under his belt, including a musical adaptation of Terry Gilliam's "The Fisher King," in addition to a number of poems and songs.
