New Bandits

Ubaldo, an unhappy bank teller in São Paulo, cares for his ailing adoptive father, Ernesto, whose treatment incurs high costs. Ernesto thinks his son is in the army, but in reality he has been dismissed.

Ubaldo wakes up inside a grave, next to the corpse of Virulento, the bandit who got killed in the heist. Faco and Moeda, a pair of cangaceiros who neithertrust him nor believe what he said on the road, cast him a nasty glance.

Stunned by the countless stories of his father's mythical past, Ubaldo denies his inheritance and decides to spend the night in a hotel. Dilvânia knocks on his door and takes him to his family's cemetery.

With a bag of money at his feet, Ubaldo looks in the mirror and questions himself. He later receives a worried call from Raul, who tells him that Cratará is now his home.

The latest robbery led by Ubaldo goes off without a hitch. Ubaldo even pays the hostages' bills. This is totally new for the gang, as normally they leave a trail of violence.

The Gastão attack becomes the talk of the hour. Deocleciano delivers a fiery speech in front of the hospital. In Cratará, everyone develops a sense of mistrust for the Leites.
