Matthew O'Callaghan

Matthew O'Callaghan is the man behind the magic of some of the most beloved animated classic films and television programs. After his time as a student in the character animation program at the California Institute of the Arts, he landed a job at the perfect place for an aspiring animator: Disney. There he worked as on classics such as "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" and "The Little Mermaid Soon after, O'Callaghan expanded his job from animator to writer and director in the animated short "The Itsy Bitsy Spider," which featured Jim Carrey and Thora Birch, before moving to the itsy bitsy screen--television. In 1995, he teamed up with popular comedian Louie Anderson to create the animated series "Life With Louie." For his work on the show, O'Callaghan was credited as co-creator, director and animator. After "Life With Louie" ended in 1998, he returned to animated shorts and feature films, most notably directing 2006's "Curious George," fronted by voice stars Will Ferrell and Drew Barrymore, and the 2008 sequel, "Open Season 2." Due to decades of work in family entertainment, O'Callaghan has been trusted to recreate iconic characters including Tweety Bird and Sylvester, and of course, the one and only Mickey Mouse.
