Jerrika Hinton

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Jerrika Hinton graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2003. Hinton gained exposure in 2006, when she appeared in the film "Rain" (2006), which featured Faye Dunaway and Robert Loggia. The same year she had guest roles on "Gilmore Girls" (The WB, 2000-2006; The CW, 2006-2007) and "Everybody Hates Chris" (UPN, 2005-2006; The CW, 2006-2009). Hinton continued to make guest appearances on shows like "Ghost Whisperer" (CBS, 2005-2010), "Terriers" (FX, 2010) and "Bones" (Fox, 2005-2017), before she landed on "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC, 2005-) in 2012. She played Dr. Stephanie Edwards for five seasons on the long running hospital procedural. In 2017 it was announced that she would be a series regular on the high profile HBO series "Here and Now" (HBO, 2018-) created by Alan Ball and starring Holly Hunter and Tim Robbins.
