Kayla Ewell

Kayla Ewell is a young pin-up-type actress whose work has ranged from the thoughtfully introspective comedy series "Freaks and Geeks" to the more conspicuously trendy "The Vampire Diaries" over the course of her career. At 15, she made her television debut on two obscure TV series before being cast as Maureen Sampson on a Judd Apatow-directed episode of the beloved "Freaks and Geeks," the prematurely canceled NBC show that took an intelligent and nuanced eye to the realities of high school life. At age 18, Ewell joined a very different kind of world, that of the soap "The Bold and the Beautiful," playing the aspiring fashion designer Caitlin Ramirez, appearing for 132 episodes in just a year-and-a-half. The following year Ewell, landed a recurring part on the prime-time soap "The O.C.," which put her in front of a younger demographic--she followed that part with a three-episode stint on another high-profile series, HBO's shobiz comedy "Entourage," in 2007. In 2009, she co-starred as part of the ensemble cast on the pilot of the vampire drama series "The Vampire Diaries," its success dependent of the vampire craze spearheaded by the "Twilight" phenomenon. Ewell played Vicki Donovan, who gets turned into a vampire and was written off the show after nine episodes. That same year, Ewell earned a supporting part in rising director Will Gluck's film "Fired Up!," a teen comedy about two popular girls who join the cheerleading squad. In 2010, Ewell guest starred on the medical procedural "House M.D.."
