Paula Vaccaro

Born in Argentina, Paula Vaccaro is an award winning journalist, scriptwriter, producer, and visual artist with experience in film, radio, printed media, TV and independent artistic practice based in London, UK.  In 2009, she founded Pinball London, a production company with an independent-cinema spirit at the heart to tell stories with an auteur zeal from an international perspective with special emphasis on storytelling that focuses on gender, LGBT, human rights, immigration, minorities, class, and our planet.  She has produced and/or written long feature documentary and drama, TV series, animation and short films in co-productions with the US, Latin America and Europe. She has worked with world known filmmakers such as Sally Potter and Emir Kusturica, and with emerging talent such as Victoria Solano, Ana Rocha, Agustina Figueras, Edoardo de Angelis, and Aaron Brookner.  Since 2004, she has provided training for filmmakers in Latin America and Europe in pitching, production, impact producing, gender and implicit bias in partnership with national and international organisations such as British Council, Eurimages, Doc Circle, Montenegro Film Agency, FIDBA Buenos Aires, Docs Montevideo, DocsSP Sao Paulo, Lumiton Argentina, GoodPitch (Argentina, Colombia), Impact Lab DocsMx, Thessaloniki, ProPro Austria, Los Cabos FF, BAM Bogotá, DocCampus and DokLeipzig.   Within Pinball London, she leads Pinball Audiences, providing impact producing consultancy, strategy and training. She has trained as an Impact Producer with Britdoc (Doc Society) on their 1st Impact Producer’s retreat in 2012 and has continued her training with Julia Middleton/Common Purpose (Cultural Intelligence),  George Kohlrieser (Hostage negotiation) and Nova Reid (Anti-Racism). She is a member of PACT and BECTU, a Sundance Alumni, a mentor and member of EWA (European Women's Audiovisual Network), a member of the DPA (Documentary Producers Alliance), a member of the Global Impact Producers Group, a UK member of the European Film Academy and current Vice-president of EPC European Producers’ Club, where she was the first woman to enter their board in 2018. Paula speaks/writes in Spanish & English, and also works in Italian, Portuguese and (some) French. She is a British, Italian, and Argentine citizen.
