With her striking, dark hair and expressive features, Alana de la Garza became known to many for her role as Deputy D.A. Connie Rubirosa on the long-running crime drama "Law & Order" (NBC, 1993-2010). Born in Ohio but raised in Texas, de la Garza's first taste of fame came when she won the title of Miss Photogenic at a Miss El Paso Teen USA competition. She would go on to graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso, and from there moved to Florida, where she found early work acting in a string of TV commercials. Eventually, de la Garza relocated to New York, where she began studying with renowned acting coach JoAnna Beckson. Eventually, the actor was cast on the beloved soap opera "All My Children" (ABC, 1970-2011). She would later move on to roles on "The Mountain" (WB, 2005-06) and "The Book of Daniel" (NBC, 2006), before she was cast on "Law & Order" in 2006. She stuck with the show until it wrapped in 2011, at which point she jumped to "Law & Order: L.A." (NBC, 2010-11). Her next big role came in 2014, when she joined the cast of the fantasy series "Forever" (ABC, 2014-15).
