Chet Atkins

Chet Atkins worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Austin City Limits" (PBS, 1974-2015). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Boots Randolph Show" (1972-73), "Ann-Margret... Rhinestone Cowgirl" (NBC, 1976-77) and "Johnny Cash: The First 25 Years" (CBS, 1979-1980). Atkins also contributed music to "Stroszek" (1977). In the eighties and the nineties, Atkins devoted his time to various credits, such as "23rd Annual Music City News Country Awards" "In the Hank Williams Tradition" (PBS, 1988-89) and "Leo Kottke: Home & Away" (PBS, 1988-89). He also worked on "Josh and S.A.M." (1993). Atkins's music was most recently featured in the Reese Witherspoon dramatic adaptation "Wild" (2014). Atkins had a number of different projects under his belt in the nineties through the early 2000s, including "The Roots of Country: Nashville Celebrates the Ryman" (CBS, 1993-94), "Chet Atkins: Read My Licks" (The Nashville Network, 1994-95) and "The 28th Annual Country Music Association Awards" (CBS, 1994-95). His credits also expanded to "Surviving Christmas" with Ben Affleck (2004).
