Medical students and programmers Julia and Rebecca are a part of an elite team at the University of Lund, studying a controversial scientific method known as biohacking, the new hope in genetic engineering that can spell the end to deadly diseases in our lifetime. But their testing phase is cut short once they find out that Julia’s boyfriend Erik’s cancer has come back, and this time with no available treatment. Time is quickly running out for Erik, so Julia and Rebecca decide to treat him using the highly experimental and highly illegal methods they have learned in secret. The consequences of this can be dangerous, not only for Erik, or themselves – but for everyone.
