Beloved country singer Jimmy Dean charmed countless audiences with his performances, both as a musician and an entertainer. He also starred in the TV movies "The Ballad of Andy Crocker" (1969-1970), "Rolling Man" (ABC, 1972-73) and "The City" (NBC, 1976-77). In the beginning of his Hollywood career, Dean acted in films like the Sean Connery action flick "Diamonds Are Forever" (1971). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Texas 150: A Celebration Special" (1985-86), "Celebrities Offstage (09/04/89)" (The Nashville Network, 1989-1990) and "TNN's All-Star Salute to Country Music" (The Nashville Network, 1989-1990). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Statler Bros. Show" (The Nashville Network, 1991-99). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "Texas and Tennessee... A Musical Affair" (The Nashville Network, 1989-1990) and "Hats Off to Minnie Pearl: America Honors Minnie Pearl" (The Nashville Network, 1992-93). Dean also contributed music to "Falling From Grace" (1992). Dean last appeared on "A Complete History of the Green Berets" (History, 2000-01). Dean passed away in June 2010 at the age of 82.
