Initially making an impact in many other projects from her home country, she would begin to break out with numerous small film roles, as well as the UK's Christmas series "The Nativity" (BBC, 2010) and the Special Jury breakout role award she received for Canadian indie film "Grown Up Movie Star" (2010). Following her breakthrough success with "Orphan Black," Maslany made a two-part guest appearance on the American comedy series "Parks and Recreation" (NBC, 2009-15).
