Michael Curtiz (Casablanca) directed this frothy but moving musical starring Doris Day and Eve Arden. A talented young singer on her way to stardom is in love with another singing star and completely unaware of the press agent, Doug Blake, who adores her and secretly guides her to success. Among the songs is the hit "I'll String Along With You." An animated dream sequence directed by Friz Freleng features cameos by Bugs Bunny and Tweety.
