TANKOGRAD is a lyrical documentary about a world-class modern dance company in Chelyabinsk, birthplace of the Soviet nuclear bomb. Facing the heavy legacy of the old USSR, in a region that’s been exposed to radioactive contamination 20 times higher than Chernobyl, a young generation of Russians tries to find meaning and expression in the art of dance and the dreary reality of New Russia.
