Providence
American fly angler Camille Egdorf and South African guides Gerhard Laubscher and Tim Babich team up for an amazing journey to the remote and uninhabited Seychelles Atoll of Providence. This film chronicles the first trip back to Providence since the waters were closed to all fishermen and boat access in 2009 due to the threats and activities of Somali pirates. Aboard the mothership Maya's Dugong, the team returns to the pristine out-island waters or Providence, spending several weeks exploring the atoll and fishing for giant trevally, bumphead parrotfish, bonefish, triggerfish, bluefin trevally and more. An amazing and exciting story of adventure, piracy, challenging fish, Indian Ocean history, and the exploration of some of the world’s most untouched flats. Filmed on location in the Seychelles, Africa, Montana and Alaska.
