Zinedine Soualem

French actor Zinedine Soualem is notorious for playing characters with a Middle Eastern background, and doing it exceptionally well. Even though Soualem started appearing in films in the 1980s, including Costa-Garvas's "Hanna K.," his acting career didn't take off until the '90s. Soualem often works with fellow Frenchman Cédric Klapisch, and can be seen in quite a number of the director's films, including "Lila Lili," "Family Resemblances," and "Le péril jeune," among others. Soualem has worked in his share of well known films over the years, but some of his best-known roles were in Alain Chabat's comedy "Didier," James Huth's "Serial Lover," and Catherine Hardwicke's controversial biblical tale "The Nativity Story." Soualem has also acted in many French television series, such as "Venus and Apollo," "L'état de Grace," and "Pas si simple."
