Jackie Chan stars in and directs this martial arts epic. The clownish grandson (Chan) of the last of the Hsin-yi fighters inadvertently leads General Yen to his grandfather's hideout, whereupon Yen and his trio of switch-spear wielding killers put the old warrior to the sword. The grandson is then taken under the wing of a wise sifu, who teaches him the art of 'emotional kung fu', which the young man uses to avenge his grandfather's death. 2K restoration from the original negatives.
