Florence Lake

Florence Lake was an actress who was no stranger to being featured in numerous film roles throughout her Hollywood career. In her early acting career, Lake appeared in such films as the dramatic adaptation "Romance" (1930) with Greta Garbo, the musical drama "The Rogue Song" (1930) with Lawrence Tibbett and the drama "Night World" (1932) with Lew Ayres. She also appeared in "To Mary - With Love" (1936) with Warner Baxter and the Katharine Hepburn adaptation "Quality Street" (1937). She kept working in film throughout the thirties and the fifties, starring in "Convicts at Large" (1938), the Claire Trevor western "Stagecoach" (1939) and the Tyrone Power romance "Crash Dive" (1943). She also appeared in "Goin' to Town" (1944). She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Lassie" (CBS, 1954-1974). Additionally, she appeared on the television special "The Fess Parker Show" (CBS, 1973-74). Lake last acted in "Welcome to Arrow Beach" (1974). Lake passed away in April 1980 at the age of 76.
