Raised by his loving left-wing single mother Patricia (Toni Collette), 10-year-old boy genius Henry James Herman (Jason Spevack) embarks on a search for his biological father. The quest introduces Henry to Dr. O'Hara (Michael Sheen), a behavioural specialist currently making life hell for his own 12-year-old daughter Audrey. Before long, Henry accepts the doctor as his biological father, creating enormous panic and curiosity for everyone involved.
