George Fawcett

George Fawcett was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Fawcett kickstarted his acting career in various films such as "The Habit of Happiness" (1916), the period drama "Intolerance" (1916) with Lillian Gish and "The Hope Chest" (1918). He also appeared in "I'll Get Him Yet" (1919), "True Heart Susie" (1919) and "Dangerous Business" (1920). His film career continued throughout the twenties in productions like "The Sporting Venus" (1925), the adaptation "The Merry Widow" (1925) with Mae Murray and the western "The Flaming Frontier" (1926) with Hoot Gibson. He also appeared in "The Son of the Sheik" (1926) with Rudolph Valentino. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "The Prince of Hearts" (1929), the Lewis Stone drama "Wonder of Women" (1929) and "Hot For Paris" (1929). He also appeared in "Tide of Empire" (1929) with Renee Adoree and "His Captive Woman" (1929). Fawcett last acted in "A Woman of Experience" (1931). Fawcett was married to Percy Haswell. Fawcett passed away in June 1939 at the age of 79.
