Yara Martinez

Tall, dark and striking, Puerto-Rican born Cuban actress Yara Martinez spent a few years in Hollywood languishing in background artist obscurity until 2007 when she landed the role of Beth in the Sophia Bush thriller "The Hitcher" (2007). Though the movie itself was not well-received by critics or audiences, it turned out to be excellent exposure for Martinez, who shortly thereafter went on to appear in a series of bit roles on such network hits as "ER" (NBC 1994-2009) and "CSI" (CBS 2000-). Her next big break came when Martinez was cast in the series "Breakout Kings" (A&E 2011-13), a crime drama following a federally-assembled task force who track down and capture prison escapees. Unfortuntately, the show was cancelled after only two seasons. Martinez next scored a role on the hotly anticipated Amazon original series "Alpha Dogs" (2013), created by Garry Trudeau. On the show, Amazon's first attempt at developing original programming, Martinez portrays Adriana de Portago, a Miami-Cuban billionaire heiress who works in Washington to assemble Republican super PACs. Martinez stars opposite Mark Consuelos and the legendary John Goodman.
