A mysterious stranger seeks Shivagami's permission to fight the princes in a tournament organised for the warriors of Mahishmati.

Deshpal tries to turn the royal group of advisors against Shivagami to dethrone her so that she can be replaced with Dharmaraj as the new ruler of Mahishmati.

While passing by a mysterious village, Bhallaladeva and Baahubali encounter an occultist, who protects them from a group of zombies; he provides food and shelter to the duo and narrates why he was summoned to help the villagers.

While Baahubali is held captive, Bhallaladeva is left at the mercy of a wild boar as punishment for hunting a deer; back in Mahishmati, Dharmaraj shares a plan with Shivagami to acquire a forest located on the outskirts of their kingdom.

Though Dharmaraj is officially the King of Mahishmati, Shivagami continues to rule the hearts of the people. The rash decisions taken by the former in the times of crisis further weaken his position.

Baahubali and Bhallaladeva encounter the stranger supposed to help them according to Yamagni; as advised by him, the duo seeks help from King Paramhans to fight Dharmaraj and Varah.
