Andrea tries to get back on her feet by returning to work, but discovers she has been fired due to her long absence; she applies for a job at a company which happens to be owned by Jaime, and accidentally bumps into Veronica, infuriating Veronica.

Andrea starts her new job and finally gets to meet the company's big boss and her mystery hero, Jaime, to thank him for saving her life; however, later on, Jaime scolds her for failing to bring all the important documents for his business meeting.

Andrea meets Oliver again, with his new girlfriend, after he left her on the altar, and realises she has not moved on from the pain; she has a heart-to-heart talk with Jaime, who sympathises with her.

Veronica leaves the house after she is confronted by Jaime's mother that she is having an affair; the children ask why their mother left without telling them and Jaime decides not to let them know about the problem.
