Reincarnated as an eight-year-old, Ryoma Takebayashi lives alone in the forest and hones his magical abilities. One day, he saves a group of distressed travellers.

The travellers saved by Ryoma turn out to be the local duke and his family. Impressed by Ryoma's skills and enamoured by his personality, they invite Ryoma on their journey.

The Jamil family and Ryoma travel to the mining town Gimul; Ryoma and Eliaria begin to master their crafts; Ryoma gets another chance to flex his new powers.

Ryoma arrives at Miya's house, which is overflowing with rubbish from a nearby dump. The slimes demonstrate a remarkable ability to clean.

Eliaria and Ryoma practice magic and combat in Gimul against the weak, but numerous monsters that infest the abandoned mine shafts.

The Adventurers' Guild organise a large group of adventurers to deal with the massive monster infestation discovered in the abandoned mines.
