Tomoki Sakai is a junior high student who dedicates every day to diving; Tomoki goes to the Mizuki Diving Club with his friends, but things change when a woman named Kayoko Asaki appears.
The Olympics are Kayoko's condition for the continuation of Mizuki Diving Club. Everyone is a little hesitant in accepting her as the new coach, but Tomoki throws himself into the practice given to him.
Kayoko brings Shibuki Okitsu to the MDC; Tomoki is asked to perform at a meet in July.
A combined practice with veteran divers begins during the Golden Week holiday. Diver Yamada who is also known as Pinky sees Yoichi as a rival.
Ryo and Reiji feel like Kayoko is playing favourites with Tomoki; Tomoki feels sad at the change in attitudes of his two friends; unable to stand by and do nothing, Yoichi calls Tomoki over on their way home.
Tomoki loses his girlfriend to his younger brother and is unable to get over the shock; the club competes in an event.
