Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life

Third-year high school student Takezo Kurata's fellow koto club members all graduate, leaving him on his own to recruit new members to prevent the club from disbanding; his hopes appear dashed when his best candidate turns out to be a delinquent.

The club tries to recruit new first-year students; Takezo's solo performance fails to impress; Satowa Hozuki asks to join the club.

The club considers bringing on Chika's old friends, Saneyasu, Michitaka and Kota, to ensure it has enough members to keep going.

Satowa has trouble figuring out how to teach a challenging piece to the rest of the club because her natural talents helped her avoid putting in the kind of effort the others need to be good musicians.

With the club's future on the line, everyone tries their best to put on a good performance, but they face a tough audience.

Hiro Kurusu, a second year student from Takezo's class, decides to become the newest member of the koto club.
