Taejoo, the Forensic Investigation Team leader, follows his principles and climbs the ranks. During a serial murder investigation, he falls and wakes up in 1988. Now, as a small-town detective, he strives to solve the case and return to the present.

A principle-centred detective, Han Taejoo, meets with an accident while chasing after a suspected serial killer. When he wakes up after the accident, he finds himself in the year 1988.

Taejoo is confused and cannot determine whether everything is a dream or reality. He investigates a pickpocketing case with detectives from the Seobu Police. However, his principle-centred investigation puts the people around him in danger.

A mysterious body appears in a reed field. Although the police identify a suspect in the case, Taejoo and Dongchul debate whether the suspect is the culprit; Taejoo gets to confront a memory from his forgotten past.

A strange incident is reported to the Insung Seobu Police, where signs of someone entering the house are found, but nothing was stolen; Taejoo gets immersed in his old memories related to his family.

Taejoo encounters his father who passed away when he was a child. He reminisces about his childhood memories with his father; Taejoo confronts another murder case. As he approaches the case, the fragments of his memories begin to come together.
