A mysterious Extended comes to ex-soldier Juzo Inui's office with an unconscious boy from a questionable orphanage.

Juuzo takes the Extended boy Tetsuro to a safe place where Beruhren can't easily reach. As Juuzo looks for his favourite pack of smokes, he runs into Cunningham.

Mary works on Tetsuro's rehabilitation once he wakes up. A man named Huang visits and offers Juuzo a job to resolve a certain Extended case in which children in the Kyusei Pit are being attacked.

Tetsuro takes over Juzo's body and locates the ones responsible for the puppet incident, uncovering a history of cruel experiments carried out by the Beruhren company.

Tetsuro tries to keep Juzo and the others out of his plans for fear that Juzo might lose immunity. Plus, Berühren has not made any movements since the incident with Ende.

In return for taking care of issues he's caused and to have Olivier protect his friends and client, Juzo agrees to hunt down a renegade Extended named Hayden Gondry. As Juzo searches, he discovers Gondry's connection with his past.
