The Negotiator

Captain Menck returns to work after the death of his wife. He tackles a hostage robbery, discovering that there are motivations beyond money. Tensions arise with his new manager, Major Chacur, and the tactical team.

Menck tackles the kidnapping of the heiress of a construction company in São Paulo. Some discoveries raise suspicions and the kidnapped woman flees, threatening to jump off a roof.

A young man breaks into the mansion of a well-known TV presenter and holds him hostage inside the cellar. Chacur pressures Siqueria to find access to the inside of the cellar for a possible tactical operation, but things go awry.

On her wedding day, a bride and her teenage son are held hostage. The kidnapper is the bride's ex-husband and the child's father. Menck and Chacur work to keep the situation a secret given that the bride is Colonel Lopes' niece.

The negotiator undergoes a long interrogation at the headquarters with the internal affairs officer to find out more details about the night Sophia died. On his way out, Menck feels a device underneath his car seat: it's a bomb.

Major Chacur is kidnapped by Captain Bismark and taken to an abandoned prison. Menck tries to negotiate with Bismark, but Bismark is emotionally distressed. He soon realises that Bismark is not planning to get out of this alive.
