Tyler Hilton

In high school, Tyler Hilton used to perform his music at coffee shops and even played the lead role in a staging of "Grease." But a call into a radio show, to win tickets to a Johnny Lang concert, proved to be one of his first major venues; he performed one of Lang's songs a capella on the air. Before long he had a guest spot as a folk singer on the 1960s-set TV show "American Dreams" and a starring role on the CW series "One Tree Hill," which was about the intertwining lives of teenagers in a small North Carolina town. Hilton left the show to pursue his musical career, but remains close to his former costars Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray; he also continues to put his music on the show's soundtrack, including tunes by Ryan Adams. On the big screen, Hilton played a bully in "Charlie Bartlett," which starred Anton Yelchin as a self-appointed high school pharmacist, and he got to play one of his childhood idols--Elvis Presley--in the award-winning Johnny Cash biopic "Walk the Line," with Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon. It gave Hilton a chance to gyrate his hips and do a few Elvis covers for his soundtrack to boot. He has directed one of his music videos and appeared in another as starlet Taylor Swift's paramour--despite a penchant for keeping his real love life quite private.
