Shamier Anderson

Shamier Anderson

Known to many as the straight-talking U.S. Marshal Xavier Dolls on the supernatural Western series "Wynonna Earp" (Syfy, 2016-), Shamier Anderson was comfortable with a badge and a gun for a very good reason: before he began finding steady work as an actor, Anderson studied criminology thanks to a childhood interest in becoming a police officer. Born in Toronto, Canada, Anderson was bitten by the acting bug in high school and eventually attended Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts, graduating as an Ontario Scholar. He began acting on screen with a string of appearances on the tween series "Overruled!" (Disney Channel, 2009-2011) in 2009. Soon, Anderson began racking up guest appearances on shows like "Degrassi: The Next Generation" (CTV, 2001-2015) and "Lost Girl" (Syfy, 2010-15). The increasingly popular actor was also cast in recurring roles, playing Chris on the first two seasons of "The Next Step" (The Family Channel, 2013-). Then in 2017, Anderson joined the cast of "Wynonna Earp." The role of Dolls gave Anderson the opportunity to utilize the law enforcement strategies he'd once studied, as well as a chance to immerse himself in a new and spectacular world, as a lifelong fan of science fiction.
