Desna (Niecy Nash) and her girls take pride in doing nails at the Nail Artisans of Manatee County, but amidst painting hooves and dreaming of a better life, she finds herself entangled in a money laundering scheme with the Dixie Mafia. As New Year’s Eve approaches, Desna’s promise of getting out and going clean is complicated when things go south with Roller (Jack Kesy), leading her and newcomer Virginia (Karrueche Tran) to take matters into their own hands, changing their lives forever.

Following their entanglement with Roller, Desna and Virginia desperately prepare a cover story to tell the girls and the Dixie Mafia; Desna's dream salon is falling out of her grasp; Virginia goes missing only to return with a concocted story.

As Virginia's lies deepen, Desna plays catch up to cover their tracks; Desna is determined to get her dream salon; something goes awry at the clinic, putting Desna and Bryce in danger of Uncle Daddy's wrath.

Desna becomes desperate to get out from underneath Uncle Daddy's thumb; Bryce drifts deeper into the Dixie Mafia; Polly reunites with her former gold-digging friend; Quiet Ann gets into a mess of her own; Dr. Ken finds himself in a world of trouble.
