Barry Bernard

Actor Barry Bernard appeared on the big screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Bernard landed roles in various films, including "Adventure in Iraq" (1943), "The Two Mrs. Carrolls" (1947) and the Eleanor Parker mystery "The Woman in White" (1948). He also appeared in "Kind Lady" (1951). His film career continued throughout the fifties in productions like the Tony Curtis crime picture "Forbidden" (1953), the Elizabeth Taylor dramatic adaptation "Elephant Walk" (1954) and "Soldier of Fortune" (1955) with Clark Gable. He also appeared in the Bette Davis historical romance "The Virgin Queen" (1955) and the comedic adaptation "The Birds and the Bees" (1956) with George Gobel. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Pal Joey" (1957), the dramatic adaptation "Something of Value" (1957) with Rock Hudson and the horror sequel "Return of the Fly" (1959) with Vincent Price. Bernard was most recently credited in "Blacklist: Hollywood on Trial" (AMC, 1995-96). He also was featured in the TV movie "The Hound of the Baskervilles" (ABC, 1971-72). Bernard passed away in June 1978 at the age of 79.
