Лионель Абелански

Nominated for France's 1999 Most Promising Actor César Award, Lionel Abelanski has worked mainly in supporting roles, but has also shown the ability to play larger parts. His first film appearance was in the 1989 comedy "Mama, There's a Man in Your Bed" and, after acting in shorts and on TV, earned his first supporting film role in the romantic comedy "Delphine 1, Yvan 0" in 1996. In '97 he made an appearance in Alain Chabat's debut "Didier," and received top billing in the period film "Train of Life," which earned César nominations for him and director Radu Mihaileanu. He played a supporting role in another director's first work--actor Yvan Attal's romantic comedy "My Wife Is an Actress"--and in the 2003 romantic film "Bed and Breakfast." More recently he had a part in the U.K./French co-production "Atonement" and worked again with director Radu Mihaileanu on the music-themed drama "The Concert" in 2009.
